Mali: Democratization
Project Challenge: In the newly democratic nation
of Mali, we worked with the first elected President, Alpha
Omar Konaré, and his executive team to develop a
communications strategy to promote a better understanding of
democracy in Mali.

Strategy: Our program established organizational infrastructure for the Department of Public Information, streamlined information flows and provided communications training for staff in the Office of the Presidency, the office of the Prime Minister and several key ministries. Our strategy became the basis for a new dialogue about democracy and government in Mali.
