We have expanded our film and video work to include interactive media such as DVDs and CD-ROMs with multiple menu options. As technology continues to evolve, so do our projects.

This DVD is designed to help teachers implement interactive teaching techniques in their classrooms
Interactive Teaching:
Promoting Better Learning Using Peer Instruction and Just-in-Time Teaching
Because of the success of the video
From Questions to
Concepts, Spectrum Media developed a DVD to take
viewers deeper into the interactive teaching techniques of
Peer Instruction and Just-in-Time Teaching. Guided by
Professor Eric Mazur, the different sections of the DVD
help teachers better understand these teaching methods,
suggest resources to help implement the techniques, and
invite viewers to attend a lecture in real time. The DVD
was produced for the Derek Bok Center for Teaching and
Learning at Harvard University and is being
distributed by Addison Wesley-Benjamin Cummings.

Playtime is Science
Spectrum Media developed an interactive CD-ROM to accompany
and enhance the printed curriculum guide of Playtime is
Science, an award-winning physical science curriculum for
young children. The CD-ROM was designed to introduce
elementary teachers to Playtime is Science through video
testimonials, slideshows and graphic presentations of
background information that explain every aspect of the
curriculum.
The challenge in creating the CD-ROM was to make it accessible to visually and hearing impaired teachers. In order to effectively meet this key requirement, the CD-ROM had to be designed within the narrow confines of HTML. It can be used without a mouse using screen reader programs, and all the audio is captioned. This project was produced for Educational Equity Concepts.
